Think you are one of the best. Self belief is vital in sport and competition. Always go into it believing you're already the best.
Practice more than you ever have in your whole life. Practice is the best form of improving your confidence in the sport.
Set a goal which is achievable. Use visualization to help you see where you will be when those goals are achieved. Keep using those images to compel you ever onward.
Make your practice such that it will enable you to reach your goals. Combine the consistency and the visualization to reach the goals you're seeking.
Reward yourself as you reach each step towards your goal and when you finally reach the goal. The rewards can be rest, items you'd like, an experience, or simply complimenting yourself on a job well done.
